Our legal team work closely with the Connexus team to identify large claims, potential indemnity issues or those where there is a potential for reputational damage and report on those immediately to insurers. Our large loss team will then take over.
Insurers may find it unusual to see this next to FNOL, but for the insurers we act for, we start the recovery process at the FNOL stage. Our staff are trained to ascertain potential avenues to recover, establish liability and seek admissions swiftly, so that when accounts are available for recovery, they are immediately pursued.
We save up to 60% on the cost of a motor claim where we successfully intervene. We have staff available to work alongside the Connexus FNOL team so that early decisions can be made on liability under DA schemes, speeding up the process. We will coordinate offers of vehicle repair/total loss management, replacement vehicle provision and rehabilitation.
If we do not capture, we are able to coordinate retention of call data in relation to any potential defence. We can dispatch the appropriate Copley letter, and access rates checked by our hire team daily, to substantiate a defence mounted on credit hire.
As well as adapting to ensure all insurer-required fraud checks are in place, we have a clear focus on using software to combat fraud. These arrangements are available to outline to insurers upon request.
We adopt a firm but fair approach to the defence of legal claims. We have a reputation for being fearless in litigation claims and we advise insurers to defend their interests fully in appropriate cases where indemnity/liability or quantum issues require. For many cases, what is required is an economic and swift analysis of the value of the claim and efficient management of the process. We look to reserve the case realistically and manage the claims within the reserve.
We have an efficient and experienced team of cost professionals who manage Third Party claims with realism but are familiar with firms that over charge and will robustly defend any claims brought, thoroughly investigating these.
At KLS Law, we have a large in-house IT and digital team to support our needs. Our custom system "Touchpoint" allows insures to track claims in real time and see detailed MI on savings and reserves, which are constantly updated in a live environment. Data is securely managed and we are ISO 27001 accredited.
